this is what you guys do with you time? wow, living the dream!
I'm not sure if the band ever actually reads these comments, but i will hope that you guys do, becouse i have been tryin to contact JT for a while. As a big HH fan, there are somethings i need to tell the main lyric writer:
your first two albums are some of my all time favioite albums of all time, and i have could not wait for the third album to be released. well, i must say, i found it rather disappointing. the the thiNg i loved so much about the first album was the poetic elements in the lyrcs. fragile future obliviously had somthing to say, and i respect that. but, i really want a Hawthorne heights album that still has those amazing teen lyrics: "still frames and valentines won't keep me in her mind. dear black good-by" i love lines like that. nostalgic, but still punk-esc. just keep that in mind. and, one last thing: you might be thinking "gee kid, we are just being more mature!" well, just look at The Cure. they are the led zep of indi rock, and they focused on teen emotions. it's ok to right about teen feelings. thats what made you guys great. USE ARTY LYRICS!!!!!!!!!!! WRITE ABOUT SAY ANYTHING (Niki FM)WRITE ABOUT SAYING GOOD BY FOREVER!!!!!!! YOU DO IT SO WELL!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE, KEEP THAT IN MIND,WHILE WRITING LYRICS!

yo, The Lawton Family...

Fragile Future was about losing my best friend...the lyrics are very straight forward and in your face, because I wanted everyone to know exactly what the topics were. I still love poetry and get great inspiration from it. I also still love 80's movies like say anything...although recently I have been watching st. elmo's fire. the lyrics I am working on right now are probably the most political I have ever written because our country is in a state of turmoil...so I hope that doesn't disappoint you. I typically like to write about what's on my mind. but don't worry, I still have some teen angst left in me. "the places I remember, are getting worn and withered. my heart's the picket fences, it needs a little mending"

love xxxJT

It's so cool, that you guys can write such good music, and still put emotion in it! Your songs are so inspirational, that I might start to write a story about Screen Writing An Apology, but I'd have to know what it's about first. Well, your songs are easy to write stories too, because they're so descriptive in the lyrics. I hope you all have a good time writing songs for the new album! :)

i belive that i dont care what image you have or what you write about. its just that alot of stuff that you guys write about i can relate from. like your song four becomes one i listend to it and thought that it sounded alot like my family like there was 5 of us then my dad died so then there was 4 of us then my family started to breake apart leaving me by myself so when i listend to the song it sounded like a break down of my life.im not going to tell u my life story but all im saying is that alot of the music you write is awsome cause i can relate instead of being somone who listens to a band and dosent understand their lyrics or emotional backround.

first, let me say i think that it is soooo cool that JT responds to comments. it's a good way to keep connections with fans. next, i have to say that my previous comment seems to have caused some commotion. fellow fans, hear me out: if you are obsessed enough to be reading and writing the comments in this site then you must know most if not all of the HH albums ( there aren't too many, unfortunately). flash back to the first time you heard The Silence In Black and White. remember the metal to pop on "Life on Stand-by". the melodic intro of "Niki FM". the teen battle cries in "Silver Bullet" and "Ohio Is For Lovers". that's magic that stays with you, and i have not felt magic like that in music for quite a while. once again, i am not saying fragile future is not an amazing album. the more you listen to it, the more you appreciate the emotional undercurrents that are in every song, and you can hear the band's musical progression. what I'm saying is this: i felt instant magic the first time i heard HH. and if any band has the power to recreate that magic it would Hawthorne Heights. i think think the rest of the Height's fan community would wholeheartedly agree. but in the long run, you guys just make great music. just keep making that great emotional rock we have all come to love.

Ping Pong is awesome but i suck at it lol
I cant wait for the new album.
Hopefully ping pong will help you create something amazing and random.Something no one expected like a guitar Solo and then a break down into a sweet melody and back into a hard rocking song.
That would be cool but you guys are amazing and know what your doing.
Love your stuff!! keep it up

well done hh. great game of Table Tennis, i hear real players are pretty touchy about the name.. not that i am. let me just say this. i really love your music. i think its great, the lyrics speak to you on a level other artists on the charts don't understand. they dont preach about how people act or focus on losing someone but when you speak about amazing things that are close to your heart you don't give us your whole life story and say look at me i was hurt pity me and support my band. you have great lyrics that strike a deeper chord and in your voice we hear some deep undertones telling us about how you really feel about the topics. i remember when i was 10 years old in the summer of 2004(i think..) and listening to mainly pop, and i was watching mtv late at night and your song came on. you and your band are what got me into music more real and meaningful than boy bands or girls selling sexy songs and catchy beats. i lived and thrived on that song that summer and when i hear it i always remember everything about that summer and how it *corny line approaching* changed my life and the way i see the world. when i hear your songs i think about packed little local spots in my little fargo north dakota town. when i read your lyrics-the music and the heavy guitar riffs i think of great writers and even see some early robert forest or walt whitman. even a little nathaniel hawthorne :) im so excited for your new album i know it will be great even without your great addition casey rest his soul. you guys should come back to fargo sometime, i was so excited to see my heroes and my favorite band come to our little town on july 3 2007 at the venue at playmakers sponsored by jade presents/playmakers where we get psyched for elton john and nobody ever comes. i dont want to make this about you coming up here but that would be amazing to see you one more time. back then when i saw you in concert i had purchased your cd maybe a week or two before and i was just getting into you and listening to other songs besides my beloved ohio is for lovers, id like to see you again now that i know every lyric to all your songs most of the guitar riffs to your songs, and i didnt know what was right in front of me when you came here before. niki fm was the first song i learned on guitar ever. your songs are so fun to solo over. my favorite song of yours as of now is corps of corpses, sugar in the engine, decembers, when can i stab myself in the ears, and possibly my favorite speeding up the octaves(demo version) i fall asleep to a playlist of 12/17th of which is your band. and 3/17th of that is a day in the life. i had 3 videos of me on youtube playing your songs on guitar(i only have 1 now because i took the other 2 down because it had my school and city on display.. bad move. i don't mind sharing it with hawthorne heights or their fans though, and u don't know any of my details or how i look) i really hope you continue on your next album with straightforward lyrics amazing guitar riffs and great drums, i really like the drums, erin looks exactly like my math teacher i have a flipflop with all of your signatures even caseys on it but im missing erins cuz he must have been so incredibly tired he couldnt have left the trailer to complete a little boys dreams :) just kidding. and i have the ticket stub to your concert hanging on my wall. and watching micah was the most entertaining thing ever. hes so fun and everywhere, his guitar was in the air and jumpin around almost as much as he was. he had a blue or green sg i believe and you were all wearing black but he was wearing a red button up shirt and when everyone in that place was wearing something black and and i was wearing a red tshirt i felt cool cuz i was like micah. i try to do my stage moves just like his. i like when he does his transitions from slow and he does something slow and stands up straight and even leans back a bit and then it gets faster(the song) and he looks like he almost fell or tripped forward but catches himself and puts his feet together and bangs his head forward while he bangs on his guitar. i haven't written this much since my essay for finals ap english. keep up the good work and remind me why i fell in love with your band, i know what i think of when i think silence in black and white a bit slower more sweet and a bit less heavy but still hard. it reminds me of brown, when i think of if only you were lonely i think of harder, more screaming higher guitar solos, and a bit harder and heavier, the color black, and fragile future makes me think higher more melodic singing some would consider poppier but i know it's just us getting a closer look at the condensed hawthorne heights.. the color light blue. if you could combine the best parts of each and maybe not combine all of them but put bits of each in your songs and lyrics and guitar and drums and.. even bass i guess(sorry im a guitarist i have to be a bit snotty to bassists, is that correct??) i know you'll impress me and it will once again change my life. and way to go switching to wind-up. a good choice hopefully :) maybe they'll give you your choice of city for a concert :D anyway im going to watch tv.. if my mom is done watching the hills.. and maybe sandbag a little bit at my friends for the second crest of the flood that may be approaching and head to bed. and listen to you. and this letter was kind of directed to jt but only because he seems to be the one commenting back the most. if you want to talk more about a show up here or just chit chat a bit.. maybe check out my band that im kind of a part of/kind of not and give me some feedback msg me on my email: scorcher2332@hotmail.com i made it when i was like 9.. or if you want the link to that vid on youtube :) id love to hear from you

o and i sent a pic of me holding fragile future to your email or something when there was a promotion going on in the first week or something of cd sales and never got a reply with whatever was supposed to be sent.. i still have the cd(of course) and can resend it if you want. that doesnt really matter but seeya keep speeding up the octaves until i get ur next album ill have some desperation and dont cross me off your list but make my angel soul a little filthier and maybe by the summer sunshine ill have your new album if not ill be a disaster but i know it will shoot to the top of the charts like a bullet with butterfly wings, im on your side.. o and i look up your songs all the time on the internet for guitar tabs, is there anywhere where i can get the actual guitar tab or if u can send it to me? because there's always something that seems to be wrong with those tabs, especially the tabs from fragile future.
