Waterworld 2 coming to a box office near you!!!

I just read something that made me laugh, but then again, I have a sick sense of humor. Hugh Jackman and Century Fox are actually bitching about Wolverine leaking nearly a month early online. This is the first big movie to leak, so I can understand the shock...but seriously!!? How can the movie industry actually be shocked? Were they really so naive that they thought the movie industry would be safe from the same thing that's plagued the music industry for TEN YEARS now? I guess it’s this apparent naiveté that is making me chuckle, because I don't condone this by any means. Leaks and illegal downloading are killing the music industry, leading to less and less artist development, which is leading to less and less good music. If this recession has taught us anything, CEO's don't take pay cuts when times get bad. They cut jobs and invest less in their products. Translation: your favorite artist isn't getting the money to make the best record they can and the labels don't have the staff to properly promote that album. Have you ever asked yourself: why isn't (blank) huge? That's why! The music industry was bloated and did need a good kick in the nuts for sometime, but that's a whole different blog. So back on track...the same thing that happened to the music industry is happening to the movie industry, but to hear them speak about this, it’s as if these movie companies had their collective heads in the sand for ten years or they turned a blind eye to what was happening online. Either way, it was only a matter of time. Eron

Here's to being on a new label dude. It's a risky move as well as a fresh start, but it's about time Hawthorne Heights rises up again. You guys still have friends within V*****y records (i.e Bayside) so you'll always have major headlining support, as for the new record label, Tickle Me Pink are great and you'll help them rise up. All in all, i've been a fan for years and have always supported you guys, there are still people like me who support the music first and foremost and arent afraid to BUY the albums and BUY the merch and PAYING to see great artists do great things.
love ya dudes

i agree all the way, there is way too much downloading online and there are way too many people asking me to burn them hawthorne heights cds. i personally went to best buy and bought all the cds in cd form, because, well, thats what true fans do :). the movie industry has to realize that this was gonna happen and work harder on preventing it.
you guys are the best,

Hey, yes this is another crippling subject. I think the movie industry could definitely use some help... 3 out of the last 4 movies I went to go see were splendid :-) What I'm about to say doesn't excuse the illegal downloading, but at times movies are not what they used to be. Although, there were some great ones in months past.. There's nothing like grabbing some popcorn with the lights down low, and knowing you're going to watch a great movie like 'The Dark Knight', or 'Step Brothers'..

Although, you have movies like 'Meet Dave' (no offense to people who enjoyed this flick)that make it hard for us to trust if a movie is going to be what it's cracked up to be. Also, 'House Bunny' that just makes you scratch your head.
The same goes for music. I buy my music, any music I have on any of my profiles, I have in my archives at home. It's up to an individual to have the passion for the arts and culture to help these things survive. It comes from inside, and it's called motivation.. To see the world be in a whole new understanding that we all have dreams. When you help someone, you're not only helping them, but yourself in the process..

Being a part of something that is awesome, timeless, and respected for all time.. It just happens from time and again, and it's not planned. I have a gut feeling that all this is going on because it will be so sweet for someone to rise to the top! Metaphorically speaking...There are 32 teams in the NFL.. Some suck, some are great, some are average, but in the end all are good.. People buy their merch, they go to games, and they root for the under dog. Some don't.. but still enjoy this, and keep it alive. Unfortunately, sometimes you won't get your due respect, or win the championship.. At the end of the day, you know you tried your best, and that it is not all in vain. Someone was touched, and will try to keep the tradition going..

Even with all those unpaid for music listeners out there.. They are enjoying what life has to offer. They will eventually wise up and purchase things, especially when they can afford them. We are all on rocky roads and are climbing walls to try to keep going.. Music, and movies are very relevant to our lives, and they will always find a way to bring people back. Time will show it's beauty in due time, and I am stoked about it. Thank you Eron for being a passionate musician, and fan of the arts, that has the fight to make it in this industry..Claud<3

Okay... I completely agree. I think that it makes more sense to just go out a buy the CD or movie, instead of going online and getting them. I have too many friends going and asking me to burn one of your CDs, or one of another band, and I tell them that I don't think I can find the time at the moment. So they go to the internet and get them off of there. I don't like that because I think it's a waist of time!! Sorry for complaining, Eron, I just thought I'd let you know. :)

Wow Eron, you are totally right. I kinda hate that a lot of my friends download all of their music illeagally. I like to buy my music so that it doesnt steal from the band that I'm listening to. I'm starting to think that download is almost a form of disrespect.
